Modal Fabric

A modal fabric was created as a silk alternative. It is mostly combined with Spandex and cotton. Modal Fabric comes from beech wood. It is from semi-natural fibbers. They are also known as Regenerated Cellulosic because of the natural and chemical combination. Its texture is almost similar to that of cotton. It has often been termed as the softest fabric in the world.

Here is why you should totally get yourself Modal made fabrics;

They are durable

The fabric is light weight; it does not peel and is durable. Clothes made of modal do no shrink which is great because who doesn’t want a cloth that can be washed over and over again without it loosing shape?

They are stretchy

The Modal fabric is flexible and is amazing for making athletic wear, pyjamas and sheets.

They are Absorbent

We all know of cotton’s absorption properties. Well, Modal fabric is two times more absorbent when compared to cotton meaning it’s twice comfortable, dry and absorbent. Another additional advantage is that Modal does not shrink like cotton does. They do absorb any water, dye or sweat.

They are classy

What’s classier that a fabric which is light, smooth, doesn’t crease, doesn’t shrink, doesn’t peel off, doesn’t wear out and doesn’t grow old. Modal fabric is flawless, absorbs moisture keeping you dry and neat. You don’t need to iron it as it can do just fine with little to no ironing at all. Model appears more like silk, and everyone loves silk.

They are environmental friendly

Where are my environmental champions? Well, I am personally a champion of the environment’s welfare. The environment is too precious to be tampered with and it is already facing a lot of issues and you wouldn’t want to be the cause of that. You have a chance to help the environment by at least using Modal fabric as it gives you a chance to help preserve nature. Modal fabrics don’t need a lot of resources the way other materials do. They are also biodegradable and compostable under soil, home, marine and industrial conditions.

They are comfortable

Modal fabrics are breathable, light, soft, stronger, and flexible and are able to hold a lot of moisture. The fabric does not shrink or crease or even peel after a long while of wearing it.

They Save on water

 When washing Modal Fabrics, You don’t need a lot of water as it does not require heavy washing. You will not need fabric softeners or whitening agents.

Modal fabric has a great property which makes it great for children underwear and toddlers. It is perfect for anything meant to be worn close to the skin due to its softness. With the rise in Modal fabric use, it is likely for it to replace Cotton pretty soon as it is better and resourceful.
